Growing a business is all about energetics and strategy.

A lot of people believe a business is all about energy but they forget about the importance of strategy. Katie focuses a lot on energy but she emphasizes that once your energy is aligned, you have to go all-in and take action.

Taking action doesn't have to be hard, but you do have to do it. To all the business owners out there, remember that you're always creating something even when you feel pain or resistance. You have to work yourself through it!

As long as you're nurturing what you have and planting new seeds in your business, you'll be able to help people step into their next level because transformation comes through the transaction.

You are in control of your own emotional intelligence. You know what's right for you so plant seeds in the soil you know is going to grow.

Stepping into a certain presence.

We all have certain seasons in our business where our productivity and creativity just flows nonstop. The whole point behind that is that you have to be so in-tune with yourself to the point where you know when it's time to be on and time to be off that season.

“Your presence is the most profitable thing you can do.” - Katie Fleming

Whether you're present for rest, present for interviews or present for coaching, your energy is EXACTLY where your feet are. When you feel all the impulses your body is telling you, you'll start to get so much more inspiration and actually get stuff done.

Even if the impulse is to take a nap...rest is needed and that's how a lot of people get back into their creative flow. For me, some of my best ideas come when I drive long distances. Everyone is different; it's just about understanding your own creativity and what gets you productive.

Making sure that you value your time and stand for your boundaries.

The more you work with aligned clients, the more they want to respect your boundaries. It's a beautiful thing when you and your clients are on the same page about your parameters around time.

At the beginning of my bookkeeping business, I felt like I had a lot of clients that I needed to show up for the same way I needed to show up in corporate. The thing that I've realized is the more you try to do things unintentionally with clients, the less respect there is.

If you fake it in your business, you're just detaching yourself from real life.

Show up how you want to be seen that way when people meet you, there's no shock and you're exactly who you say you are. It's all about being consistent and understanding the value of your own time, your clients, and the boundaries you have with each other.
