Trusting the process.

If you don’t know by now, my story basically started off with me quitting my corporate job (You can find more details on that story in episode 1 and episode 2).

Two years later, here I am.

You're currently taking steps towards something you can't see yet because that was exactly me. I had no idea what my business was going to turn into! You just have to keep going and trust that you're going to get to where you're meant to be.

Whether it's the vision you have in your head or not, there is always something out there that's much bigger and better than you could ever imagine.

When doing bookkeeping just on the side, my kids were my primary focus. Right after my second child, more and more people started coming to me but I wasn't trying to grow my bookkeeping business yet.

As I started seeing more entrepreneurs going into the online world and starting their own business, I wondered how they were doing their books. Basically, my bookkeeping business blew up because I started asking myself questions and getting my name out there.

Growing my bookkeeping business.

I still remember putting up my first post and hearing crickets. I was also getting a lot of targeting ads for free webinars and I felt defeated because I thought "how am I ever going to sell my webinars if people are getting them for free?"

I joined that program to see what it was all about and of course, at the time, I thought it was amazing.

After that, I made an investment to join a course about creating courses. I learned so many great things, made so many new connections, and I can honestly say that was an AMAZING investment.

Now that I've grown my business to where it is, I can say that you have to have a deep understanding of who you're serving and what you're doing. You have to stay on top of the systems, frameworks, and deliverables. With that, there really is nothing passive about passive income.

Starting an online business is not a shortcut to getting rich. Focus on your clients and don't get caught up in the facade of an online business. There is a lot of money that needs to be spent to be an online business owner.

How I raised my income in my bookkeeping business.

If people trust and like you, they're not going to leave you. Since I knew I had loyal clients, I raised a couple of my prices (mainly on my bigger clients). I also found new clients from the online space and other people recommending me.

I grew my business by bringing on clients, maintaining relationships, and outsourcing the busy work. Human connection is KEY and scaling and hiring in your business is also super necessary.

Throughout my journey, I saw how much you can do when you're committed and know where your priorities are.
