Wow! I can’t believe I’m already at episode 76 of my podcast Profits + Prosecco. This post is going to be short and sweet, and it’s an appreciation love letter to my listeners.

A Realized Dream

I’ve been podcasting for about 15 months worth of episodes, which equates to about 18 months of work on it overall. I knew I wanted to do this for a long time, but for a while - it was just an idea. I wasn’t ready yet. But when I got there, it was a beautiful thing.

The name of my podcast – Profits + Prosecco -- perfectly describes it. The podcast itself is all about profits, bookkeeping, and what it does for your life. But the Prosecco part is celebratory.

I knew that my podcast would be a big financial and time commitment, which it is – but I also knew it’d be powerful. I’m so happy that I took the plunge and started it.

Following My Own Advice

The advice I give to others in business is to commit to something, set a timeframe, and show up completely for that thing for that amount of time before judging and evaluating how it’s doing. I took that advice from myself for my podcast.

That goes to say that I just started tracking how my podcast is doing because I knew it was a long game. I committed to showing up for weekly episodes for a year, which is what I’ve done – and then some! It has been pretty effortless to come up with ideas, and let me tell you – it’s been really incredible to see how it’s going.

Getting Into the Numbers

So, what are the results? Well – they’re pretty amazing! I’ve had over 20,000 downloads so far and I’m already looking forward to the 100,000 download threshold. I know that that doesn’t account for people who have listened and not downloaded, so it’s possible -- and actually likely -- that I’ve reached more people than that.

In just one week, I had over 700 downloads. That means so much to me. I’m just a 36-year-old woman, a mom, and an entrepreneur. So seeing these numbers was moving.

A Heartfelt Thank You: The Bottom Line

I just want this post to be a thank you to you if you’ve tuned in. Your involvement as a co-creator of my podcast means so much. Through your feedback, questions, views, and words of affirmation, I’ve been fueled to keep showing up and keep creating.

Your participation has literally helped me change lives! And I have a small request. If you haven’t already – rate and review the podcast and I would so appreciate it. If you want to take that a step further, take a screenshot of your rating and review and put it on your Instagram story. Don’t forget to tag me so I can share it and say thanks!

I want my podcast to be a long-term thing, and I so appreciate you for bringing that vision to life by tuning in.
